Mother's Day Bookmark: Pot-Pourri on Sandpaper

A Simple Mother's Day Bookmark: Pot-Pourri on Sandpaper

I love this idea because it is so simple but very effective. This Mother's Day gift idea would be great for 2-8 year-olds, or even older. I have used sand paper as it is a bit stronger than card-stock and I like the textured look it presents.

I just cut up a full page of sandpaper into three even rectangles, then hole-punched the top-left corner to tie some ribbon.

Using a strong wood glue, (here in Australia, we call it PVA) on the sandpaper, fill up all of the spaces. You may want to remove any lumpy seeds or flower buds in the pot-pourri, so that the bookmark is a bit more functional! Children simply glue on the dried flowers then set aside to dry. They smell just lovely, I have used 'cottage garden' because of the range of colours in the pack.
Tie on some ribbon or sting in the hole you punched earlier and you're done!

You make like to accompany the bookmark with our FREE Mother's Day Coloring Pages - 10 pages
