Summer writing topics are one of my favorites to teach. I'm lucky enough to live a block back from the beach in a small holiday town on the East Coast of NSW, Australia. There is always something going on down the beach and I am often found their with my trusty camera!

If you would like to download more of my personal beach images or other Summer images, click here. These images could be used as writing prompts for your Summer writing program.

There are so many things to write about like games and activities on the beach, weather, safety and animals.

These books below are a great introduction to animals that live on the beach or in the ocean near the beach (see the fish in the see grass in the images above fighting against the motion of the waves).

This three page free file will help your students to categorize where known sea/beach animals predominately live. Be sure to read the books above first.
